The Darbargadh was conquered in the 1640s by the ancestors of the present owners. Poshina has ancient Shiv temple, jain temple and cenotaphs (chattries) of the ruling family. There are attractive places like the scenic Songadh dam, ringed by mountains, and the Chitra Vichitra temple , at the confluence of three rivers, near Poshina. Poshina is also the base to visit numerous places of interest to tourists.
AMBAJI: A holy place of pilgrimage in the Arravali hills, Ambajihas an important temple of Goddess Amba, Nearby is the Gahhar hill, which is equally sacred to Hindus. A scenic ropeway journey to be hilltop is possible. Marble carvers can be seen at work in Ambaji.
KHUMBHARIA: Dated to the 1062-1134 AD period, Khumbharia is a cluster of five jain temples decorated with fabulous carvings and jewelled idols. The richly carved domes and pillars of the marble temple are comparable to those of Dilwara and Ranakpur in Rajasthan, Girnar and Palitana in Saurastra.
GADHA SHAMLAJI: A pretty spot facing Dharoi dam, circled by hills, Gadhada Shamlaji is named for it's historic temple.
KHEDBRAHMA: One of the few temples where Brahma is worshipped can be seen at Khedbrahma, one hour from Poshina.
IDAR: The fort of Idar often features in the history of Gujarat. Idar also has fine natural rock formations and temples. It is worth coinciding your visit to Poshina with one of many tribal fairs that take place after Holi.

Ambaji, 1062-1134 AD Kumbhariaji Jain Temples, the Brahma Temple of Khedbrahma, historic Idar and Mt Abu are sights in 100 km radius. Poshina is also the base for a longer excursion to the stepwell of Patan, Modhera Sun Temple.
 
  The Darbargadh has been renovated with 15 double bedrooms, many more are now at project planning stage. Most of the rooms feature period furniture, and all have attached baths with European toilets and running hot-and-cold water. Traditional cuisine of the region is served in the dining hall, done up in antiques and paintings. Tribal dances, camel cart rides, farm house picnic, tribal village safaris, archery demonstrations and local sightseeing tours can be arranged by the owner of the Darbargadh.
